The specialized meeting on the quality and internal manufacturing of Iranian and Chinese motorcycles was held on 29th of August 1402 in the Ferdowsi Hotel in Tehran with the presence of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in the Motorcycle Industry, the Iran-China Trade and Investment Organization and the Iranian Motorcycle Industry Association.

Zhang Hongbo, Honorable President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce: The Tehran meeting laid the groundwork for improving relations
In this meeting, while welcoming the attendees, Hong Bo expressed his satisfaction at his return to Iran after 10 years. He further stated that the Chinese Chamber of Commerce is the only center approved by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. The China Chamber of Commerce has 300 members, covering the upstream and downstream industries of China’s motorcycle industry.
He further stated that cheap motorcycles make up 95% of China’s production. He stated that 32 people representing 22 production units attended the meeting in Tehran. Hongbo emphasized that he visited the authorities and motorcycle production centers in Iran on behalf of the Chinese motorcycle industry to provide more cooperation. These meetings can be the basis for obtaining more detailed information about the existing capacities and the market, which will also be the basis for wider cooperation.
Referring to the deep historical relations between the two countries, he expressed hope that in the current world conditions, these relations will come out of the test of development well. Pointing to the importance of his visit to Tehran, he expressed hope that with this meeting mutual understanding between the parties will develop the resulting relations and the parties will be able to have wider cooperation in the field of motorcycle production and sales. In the end, he expressed hope for the presence of the Iranian delegation in China.

At first, he appreciated the support of China Motorcycle Union and Iran Motorcycle Industry Union for holding a joint meeting in Tehran. Referring to the fact that he had traveled to Iran 18 years ago, he spoke about his deep feelings towards Iran. He further stated that he exported 150,000 vehicles to Iran. self payment. According to him, the said institution was established in 2021 under the supervision of the Chancheng Trade Development Organization, currently it is the only agency that focuses on the development of trade with Iran. Referring to the creation of platforms for investment in the two countries, he emphasized that this agency has not hesitated in introducing Iran to Chinese companies in various dimensions and has supported companies to invest in Iran.
Since the beginning of this year, this company has started supporting Iranian companies to familiarize themselves with the Chinese market. At the same time, providing services to Iranian petrochemical companies is also on the agenda of this institution.
Finally, while announcing her welcome to attend the motorcycle meeting in Tehran, she welcomed the development of relations between the two countries under the sanctions and appreciated Iran’s efforts to deal with the sanctions.

China’s manufacturing is localized and its related industries are very complete. There are 300 members in China Chamber of Commerce, which is the link between upstream and downstream industries. The motorcycle industry has been produced. Last year, 18 million devices were exported, which is 70% of the world market. 600 motorcycle companies and 10,000 component manufacturing companies with 5 million workers are active in China. In the first half of the year, 10 million devices were exported, which is a 26% decrease. The number of motorcycles in China has reached 550,000 units from 250 cc in 2023, which has grown by about 80% compared to 2019. In 2023, the volume above 250 cc has reached 250 thousand.
In the past years, we have exported to 190 countries. In 2022, the export will be over 10 million motorcycles. Africa, Asia and Latin America are the focus of this export.
He further emphasized that Iran is one of China’s important partners and in 2023, more than 128 thousand devices have been exported to Iran. In the end, he called for the cooperation of the two countries in the production of smart and small motorcycles.
